Keeping track of what’s been going on in the wasteland!

What’s New in the PTS (Updated: Aug 28) (Re-Print From Bethesda)

We released a new patch for the PTS today to apply several bug fixes. Here are some of the highlights from that update. You can also scroll further down in this post to find changes from our previous PTS updates.

Design Updates

Meat Week

  • We’ve re-enabled the Meat Week Seasonal Event in the PTS (as of Aug 27), and we’d love your help in play testing some adjustments we’ve made that should prevent cases where Primal Cuts events were failing unexpectedly.
    • Quest targets will now appear on all Prime Beasts, instead of only on the last few. This should help players track down any wayward beasts.
    • During the final creature wave, players are now only required to kill the boss creature to complete the event.

Bug Fixes

Enemies

  • Mr. Gutsy: Gutsy bots in Daily Ops no longer spawn with missing limbs.
  • Active Camouflage: Addressed an issue that could prevent Daily Ops enemies with the Active Camouflage mutation from breaking stealth when attacking.

Items

  • Assault Rifles: Fixed an issue causing Assault Rifles to return Legendary Modules when scrapped.
  • Loot: Fixed an issue in which enemy loot drops didn’t always match their One Wasteland-adjusted level.

Legendary Perks

  • Follow Through: Fixed an issue in which Follow Through’s effects triggered inconsistently.

Sound

  • Radio: Fixed an issue that prevented players from listening to Classical or Appalachia Radio during Daily Ops.
  • Sound Effects: The Super Mutant Firestarter no longer continues to play weapon sound effects after being killed.
  • Sound Effects: The sound effects on Resilient enemies in Daily Ops are not functioning correctly, and we’ve removed them while we investigate.

User Interface

  • Map: Fixed an issue that caused the Daily Ops widget on the Map to take precedence over the Map controls.
  • Daily Ops: Updated the “Join” button for Daily Ops to show “Join Team” when the player is already in a team.

World

  • Daily Ops: Fixed an issue that could cause a player to enter a Daily Ops interior cell before it finished loading in.

Bug Fixes

Enemies

  • One Wasteland: Performed a difficulty tuning pass on creatures who are adjusted down when encountered by lower-level characters.

Items

  • Energy Weapons: Fixed an issue that prevented energy weapon damage from visually updating in the Pip-Boy to reflect buffs from effects, Perks, Mutations, and other bonuses.
  • War Glaive: The description of the Plasma Blade Mod for the War Glaive now correctly states that it modifies the weapon’s crit effect.

Legendary Perks

  • Blood Sacrifice: Fixed an issue that could cause the Blood Sacrifice buff text to disappear from the Effect tab in the Pip-Boy after respawning.

Mutations

  • Speed Demon: Fixed an issue that reduced Stimpak healing while under the effects of the Speed Demon Mutation.

Perks

  • Class Freak: Fixed an issue causing some Mutations to not interact correctly with the Class Freak Perk Card.

Quests and Events

  • Daily Ops: Uplink: Fixed an issue that could allow players to trigger the “Eliminate the Enemy Group” objective early.

Stability and Performance

  • Server Performance: Addressed an issue that could cause a “Waiting for response from server” message to appear after using the nuke keypad.

User Interface

  • Scoreboard: Opening the Scoreboard while in-game and then using the mouse wheel to zoom in/out no longer causes the player’s Favorites menu to open.
