FALLOUT 76: INSIDE THE VAULT – HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Happy Halloween, Dwellers! Update 14 launched last week and it brought the explosive new Mischief Night Seasonal event, sweet new Nuclear Winter rewards for your trick or treat bags, and a host of fright-filled improvements, like Legendary Scorchbeasts to the game. In case you missed anything, we’ve rounded up the details you need to know.

CELEBRATE MISCHIEF NIGHT NEXT WEEK!

Our newest Seasonal Event, Mischief Night, kicked off earlier this week and The Whitespring has been quite literally exploding with suspicious activity ever since! Join the rowdy Eyebot JES-2R and some of your fellow trouble-making Dwellers in a costumed caper to spread some mayhem at the resort by blowing up cars, lighting bonfires, forking the lawns, among other devious activities.

There’s plenty of XP and themed rewards to go around, so be sure to take part in the Mischief Night celebration for some tricks and treats before the festivities conclude at 12:00 p.m. ET on November 5. Remember to wear your favorite costume and you’ll earn double credit toward the objectives and get better chances at sweet loot. If you’d like more details about the event you can check out our Mischief Night preview article here.

CLAIM SPOOKY NEW NUCLEAR WINTER REWARDS

76 NWHalloweenRewards 1920x1080

Keep the ghosts and goblins at bay this Halloween season with six spooky new rewards that you can claim by completing a few limited-time challenges in Nuclear Winter. These challenges began appearing on October 29, and a new one will arrive each day until November 3. Earn enough Overseer XP from your Nuclear Winter matches and you’ll unlock ghastly skins for your weapons and armor, and even a glow-in-the-dark skeleton outfit.

Be sure to complete all six challenges soon, because they’re only available until November 12. Oh, and don’t forget to take a look around Vault 51. ZAX took over the decorating duties this year, and the Vault is more BOO!-tiful than ever before.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: UPDATE 14 HIGHLIGHTS

76 Banner PatchNotes 750x350

In addition to Fallout 1st, Mischief Night, and new Nuclear Winter rewards, Update 14 brought a variety of gameplay improvements, bug fixes, and more to Fallout 76. In case you missed anything on patch day, we’ve gathered a few of the highlights below.

  • More Frequent Public Events: We’ve reduced the cooldown between the start of one Public Event to the next by half, meaning you’ll be able to join Public Events even more often than before.
  • Legendary Scorchbeasts: Scorchbeasts now have a chance to spawn as one, two, or even three-star Legendary enemies, which will give you a shot at some legendary gear the next time you go on the hunt for these winged terrors.
  • Color-Coded Items in Nuclear Winter: Items in Nuclear Winter are now color-coded based on their rarity so you can quickly size up their effectiveness as you scavenge for gear. Get more info by reading the latest transmission from ZAX on Fallout.com.
  • Weight Reductions for Popular Display Items: Bobbleheads, Magazines, and Teddy Bears all received weight reductions in Update 14, which means you can show off even more of your collection without using as much C.A.M.P. Budget.
  • Menu Music Volume Setting: Whether you’d prefer to turn down the game’s Main Menu music, or crank it up to max, the new “Menu Music” slider in the Audio Settings menu will help your tunes hit the right notes.

Until next time, we’ll see you in the Wasteland!
