What’s New in the PTS – June 5, 2020 (Re-Print From Bethesda)

We just released a new patch for the PTS, which includes several improvements and bug fixes for the game. We’ve highlighted a number of those fixes and improvements below:

General

  • Respawn: Fixed an issue causing players to lose carry weight bonuses while dead, which could prevent them from respawning at locations other than Vault 76.

C.A.M.P., Crafting, and Workshops

  • Containers: Fixed an issue preventing items from being assigned to Fermenters, Vending Machines, Kegs, Punch Bowls, and Refrigerators while at max C.A.M.P. budget.
  • Turrets: Fixed an issue causing Turrets that have been destroyed and then repaired to have a significant delay when engaging enemies.
    • Note: Turrets are still intended to take 2-3 seconds to acquire a target and begin firing.

Combat

  • PVP: A team member who engages in PVP with an outside player will no longer flag their teammates for PVP. This applies to normal teams and Public Teams.

Items

  • Armor: Mods can now be correctly applied to Robot Armor arm pieces.
  • Headwear: The Treasure Hunter and Insurgent Hats no longer remove hair or facial hair when equipped.
  • Under Armor: Added a number of Mod Plans to the game for Secret Service Under Armor, and players can purchase them using Gold Bullion from Regs in Vault 79.

Enemies

  • Wendigo Colossus: The Wendigo Colossus now has a flat 10% chance to spawn when nuking one of its potential spawn locations.

Quests and Events

  • A Colossal Problem: Fixed an issue in which players could access the Bonus Chest after failing to kill the Wendigo Colossus.
  • AWOL Armaments: Players are now correctly notified and removed from the event after leaving the event area.
  • Thicker Than Water: Beckett can no longer be lured out of Watoga Underground during the quest.
  • Vital Equipment: Choosing to donate the reward no longer skips the rest of the conversation with Ward.

Mutations

  • Electrically Charged: Will no longer proc when attacked by another player outside of PVP.

Perks

  • Cannibal: The Cannibal Perk no longer allows players to eat non-humanoid corpses.

User Interface

  • Controls: Fixed an issue preventing PC players from using the mouse to equip and unequip Perk Cards.
  • HUD: The player’s health bar no longer overlaps the Power Armor HUD while the Pip-Boy is open.
  • Localization: Fixed several instances of unlocalized or placeholder text in Legendary Perk descriptions, and in the menus for Legendary Perks and Public Teams when playing a non-English version of the game.
  • Notifications: The “You can’t do that while in Power Armor” notification now correctly appears when attempting to perform activities that can’t be done in Power Armor, like playing musical instruments.
  • Pip-Boy: Quests now sort in alphabetical order in the Pip-Boy.
  • Public Teams: Bond progress meters in the social menu now correctly increment along with the meter in the team HUD.
  • Public Teams: Fixed multiple instances in the Public Teams menu where text was too small and hard to read.
  • Public Teams: After logging out and back in, the Team Bonus in the Pip-Boy’s Effects tab no longer displays different bonus amounts than what is actually being applied to the character.
  • Public Teams: Fixed coloring inconsistencies for various elements of the Public Teams menu.
  • Tag for Search: Fixed an issue that prevented players from using Tag for Search on components that they do not already own.

World

  • Random Encounters: Addressed an issue that was causing random encounter objects like cooking stations, tents, etc., to suddenly disappear.
